Outdoor Wednesday, July 29, 2009

Welcome to Outdoor Wednesday, hosted by Susan, A Southern Daydreamer. Visit her place and the other participant's blogs to see what's outside of their little corner of the world.

Last week we visited Idlewild Park with the kids. I just loved the hanging baskets surrounding the Merry-Go-Round.

This is the water feature in Racoon Lagoon (kiddie land) at Idlewild.

The Black Eyed Susans in our garden have finally bloomed!

The Butterfly Bush at camp

A closer view of the Butterfly Bush flower

A bloom on one of our Rose of Sharon plant at camp. Our neighbor at home has two of these in her backyard. The one blooms in three colors. The flowers are white, purple and pink.

Thank you for checking out what's blooming in my little corner of the world.

Blessings,
Lisa

Looks like a fun place. I love those old-fashioned merry-go-rounds - even though it would make me dizzy to ride on them! Lovely photos.
Happy Wednesday,

Looks like a lovely spot. At first I thought you must be in Southern California, but I gather you might be in Pennsylvania instead (from the name of your other blog) and guess there must be MANY places named Idlewild. I'm participating in Outdoor Wednesday for the first time today at Small Reflections ... sharing 'surfing' images I photographed and collaged with Photoshop Elements over the weekend at the US Open International Championships.
Hugs and blessings,

I always had fun at Idlewild. It is such a pretty park. I even like Storybook Forest, especially because it never seems to change.
Your flowers are very pretty.
