We gathered today to sew some dresses for girls in Africa. The dresses are very easy to sew, even for a beginner like myself. We made 7 dresses in little over 2 hours. We'll meet again in August to sew a few more. The website is www.littledressesforafrica.org

I found your blog from Pilsbury. I checked out your recipe and noticed Little Dresses for Africa. Its amazing. Rachel, the woman who started this is from my church. We have helped pack the dresses for her. Thank you for taking time out and helping.

Hi, I am organizing a sewing party for girls in Africa as well. It's not your typical one. Apparently, studies indicate that girls miss 9 weeks of school in Africa because of menstruation. They need cloth pad donations. There are many organizations that will take cloth pads. I've listed sites re: how to make them and where to send them: http://tinyurl.com/3tlhdcc
Thanks!
