Back to School Teacher Gift

 

 I like to start the school year off with a cute gift for my colleagues and our children's teachers.  This year I was inspired by Stacy at She's Kinda Crafty.  She made similar tags to the one I made above  and put them onto a portable scent holder from Bath and Body Works. 

 

 

Today while shopping for a birthday gift, I saw these really great smelling apple shaped tarts.  I bought 2 for each of the teachers and put them in a cello bag, tied it with red ribbon and added one of the tags I made using the Cricut.

End of the Year Gifts for Teachers and Students

This teacher gift was inspired by a post on Pinterest.  Inside each can are m&m's and attached to the handle is a poem describing a m&m (Magnificient and Marvelous) teacher.  The printable is available here.  I used Recollections border stickers, some school stickers I had on hand and ribbons to decorate each can.  I bought the Party Size bag of M&M's at Walmart and was able to fill four cans with candy.  DD's teacher will also be receiving a gift card for Walmart.

Miss M and I decorated bottles of bubbles for her classmates.  I picked up 3/$1.00 bubbles at Dollar Tree and used printables from Amanda's Parties to Go .  We wrapped each bottle with a Summer wrap that we printed out on paper, then added ribbon and a  cardstock tag that says have a great summer around the neck of the bottles.  Miss M. signed the back of each tag with her name.

Teacher Appreciation Gift Idea

 May 8th is Teacher Appreciation Day!  We appreciate our children's teachers so very much and are very blessed that their teachers are enthusiastic and caring.  This gift is for Mrs. Michelow, Miss M's first grade teacher.  I saw this idea on Skip to My Lou.  The printable is available on the site for free...which is always fantastic!  I purchased the stack of notes at Hallmark and it came with a matching pen.  DD picked pick because it is her teacher's favorite color, or so she tells me!

Sending thoughts of appreciation to all of the teachers in my life...my former teachers and professors, my colleagues and friends.

Cute Teacher Gift Idea

I saw these on Pinterest from the blog My Sister's Suitcase. I just had to make a few for my colleagues at school. I filled each cup with assorted chocolates (kisses, butterfinger bells and peanut butter cups), and will deliver them on Monday morning with a can of soda. It's going to be an action-packed week in middle school. I hope this helps the week feel a bit less crazy!

Teacher Appreciation Gift

I saw this cute memo pad holder at Domesticated Lady and just had to make one for dd's teacher. Tuesday is Teacher Appreciation Day and I wanted to get her something useful. I thought this met that criteria. You can download the printables on Domesticated Lady's site. In addition you'll need a 3x3 post-it note pad, a 5x7 acrylic photo frame, ribbon and mini clothespins. I bought all the materials at Wal-mart and Dollar General.

Student Teacher Gift, Part Two

Our student teacher's last day was Friday. Above is the photo collage I made for her using Smilebox. I put it in a matted frame and had the students sign it, as a keepsake.

As you can see, Miss Young loved it!

Student Teacher Gift

My student teacher's last day is Friday. We made her this tote bag today. I used a fingerprint from each child to create the bumblebee body. Then, I wrote their names with a fabric paint pen and added the details to the bees. I'm going to add a tag that says: "Thanks for 'bee-ing' our teacher!" I also made a collage of photos from her experience. I'll frame it and have the kids sign the mat around the photo. I'll share a pic of that when it is ready.

Another Cute End of the Year Teacher Gift

I saw these on Domesticated Lady. It's a bottle of water, labeled with for a TEA-riffic teacher and it has a small packet of iced tea attached to the neck of the bottle with ribbon. I made 9 of them for my fellow teachers for my students to give to their reading teachers as an end of the year treat. The best part is that the labels were FREE! Visit Domesticated Lady for the printable and see her other great ideas too! Oh and it's frugal too! The iced tea packets come in a box of 10 for 1.00 at the Dollar Tree and Walmart has cases of water for 3.49. Very cute, inexpensive and thoughtful too!

Teacher Appreciation Gift

I saw this idea on Skip to My Lou, as a last minute teacher appreciation gift. I bought the flowers today and then printed out the pdf file on cardstock. The best part is that you can personalize the flowers with the kids' names. I used wavy edge scissors, but a paper punch would work better. I glued two flowers on each side of a skewer.

I think the teachers will love them! I know I would!
