Random....

We've been pretty busy this last month, but finally things are slowing down.  My dear friend's daughter got married last weeked.  We had a really nice time at the wedding reception.

We also attended the annual hockey banquet for travel hockey this month.   Above is H with the team's PAHL Season Champions Banner and....

 



 

...with the team's PAHL Playoff Champions Banner.  Both banners will hang in the home arena...The Cambria County War Memorial Arena.    H was also awared the PAHL Academic All-Star Award for his high level of achievement in school while playing hockey.  We're very proud of our son!

 

First Holy Communion preparations continue.  I found some beautiful paper goods for the party.  I decided to make Miss M's veil.    I will post pictures as soon as it's done.   The school year is winding down...can I get an Alleluia?!...it's been a tough few months.

We Are the Champions!

 

 Today, H's team won the Playoff Championship Title for the PAHL.  The team is also the Season Championhip Title.  The boys really worked hard today, and every game, to get to this place.  This game was won after two periods of overtime and a 12 man shoot out.

Our Hockey Player

 

Our son is playing on three hockey teams this year.  His passion for the game is incredible and he plays his heart out everytime he hits the ice. He had one game this weekend (thank goodness!) and they won 6-2.  These pictures were taken today during the travel hockey game.   I took the above photo while the National Anthem was playing.

Thanksgiving Tournament Champions

Congratulations to my son and his teammates on their victory at the Thanksgiving Tournament!  It was a hard won victory.  This "vacation" was filled with non-stop hockey for all the teams involved.  The games were played with heart and spirit.  I'm proud of all the boys who played this weekend and their coaches and families for their dedication to the sport.  As hockey families know, hockey is a huge committment and becomes a lifestyle, not just a sport for the players and their families.  Go DEVILS!

Hockey Banquet 2012

 I'm a bit late, but here are a few pics from ds's hockey banquet.  It was held at the home arena earlier this month.  It was a potluck and we brought the cake.

After dinner, the players and their families were invited to play a few games of hockey.  Above is my hubby on the ice.  He was wiped out after playing for 2 hours.

Hockey Banquet

On Monday evening we attended the Hockey Booster's Annual Banquet. It was a nice event, with great food.

Our Freshman team are the Laurel Hockey League's 09-10 Champions with a 13-1 season record. The boys, in grades 5-9, really came together as a team through the season and did a great job. DS is second from the right in the second row. They were each given a small trophy and a championship t-shirt.

DS is posing with the Championship Trophy. He was so proud!
