Random

The last few weeks of summer have been slipping by at a rapid pace.  Above are some mini cream puffs that I sprinkled with chocolate for a friend's wedding reception.

The beautiful bride and handsome groom, just after the kiss.  They now live in Unalaska, Alaska.  God Bless them both!

Limelight hydrangeas in the front of the house.  Love them!

Sunday was Root Beer Float Day, so I made Root Beer Floats for dessert for the kids.

Today we went to Buttermilk Falls and walked the trail.   More pics to come....

I've been to work twice, to help design our curriculum for the coming year.  We've been to the movies to see "Diary of A Wimpy Kid: Dog Days".  Hunter had his braces put on at the end of July.  He also attended ATOMS camp for Math and Science Scholars for a week.  Hockey started....didn't it just end?! Our garden is over-producing vegetables, so there has been canning and freezing going on.  Last weekend we went to see the musical, The Addams Family at the Benedum with my brother and his girlfriend.  It was so very funny!  My husband went on a trip to Canada with some of his brothers and his dad for over a week.  We were overjoyed when he came home.   That's about it in a nutshell.

Thanks for stopping by!

Summer Fun

Last weekend, we made it to camp.  On Saturday, we went boating.  Miss M is hanging out...

 ...and so is Hunter.

They did a little bit of fishing and caught a few little fish....

... that we threw back into the lake.

On the 4th we went to our Aunt and Uncle's for a picnic and some swimming.

Hunter, Vince and Matt spent the day jumping in and out of the pool.

Miss M and I were debating whether or not to jump in...I am so pale!!  Love my sunscreen!

Brenda and Sean watched the fun from the deck.

Here Matt and Hunter jump into the pool.  I love action shots!

Miss M floating in her tube...taking it all in.

Aunt Jeannie and my mil Barb cooling off in the pool.

Country Living

It's a beautiful morning here in West-Central PA, so I went out onto the porch to read the morning paper.  This is what I found on the dining table...an animal had climbed onto the table last night and pulled the candelabra across the table, pulled out a tealight and chewed it.

The joys of living next to a forest!  ;0)

This and That

Miss M and I made ourselves some new flip-flops for the summer. Just enough bling for us!

One of my black urns, that I searched high and low for and found at Michael's of all places. The plants look a bit wilted due to the excessive sun and heat.

These are the same plantings, but in a regular pot on the porch. I hope to have pictures of the porch loaded later today!

Happy Memorial Day! I have such respect and gratitude to those in the armed services today and every day! God Bless America!

peace and blessings,
Lisa

Terrific Tuesday

Come over and sit a spell!

The weather here is beautiful, so I thought I'd capture some pictures of this summer's flowers ...

Fun in the Sun Gift Bucket

This is the gift bucket I made as a thank you gift for the TSS, Ms. Diana, in my classroom. She's a wonderful woman and I'm glad to call her a friend. I filled a sand bucket from the dollar tree with a summer plastic "glass", Crystal Light Lemonade, flower shaped reusable ice cubes, a search and find puzzle book, a pack of pens and a snack size bag of Sun Chips. Cute and simple for about ten dollars.

Blessings,

Lisa
