More additions to the Den

I added the table and pillow to my reading corner this weekend. I had the lamp on my desk, but decided that it is the perfect size for this reading corner and will save me from buying a floor lamp at this time. I have ordered the checkered pillow for the chair too. I am still searching for the perfect throw. Any ideas where to find one? I still need to accessorize the table...thinking photo of my loves and some kind of knick-knack. I have to do something with those cords too!

Chair for the Den...a decision has been made!

I decided on this chair and ottoman for my den/craft room. (The ottoman looks huge...I think it's the camera angle...it's not that big, although it does have storage...love that!) J and I visited Kirkland's and IKEA last weekend to do some chair shopping. I loved this chair at Kirkland's, but it wasn't made to be super comfy, the arms didn't hit my arms right and although it was beautiful it just wasn't "it".

I have been eyeing this chair/ottoman combo on IKEA's website and in the catalog. Then when I sat in it, I knew it was the one. We brought the ottoman and slipcovers home with us last weekend, then hubby picked it up on his way to his "Manly Men Weekend" up North. (IKEA is about 65 miles from home.) The pillow on it won't be staying. I want to order the same one in black check from Ballard's and was just checking out the size/shape. What do you think?

Now it's time to get the shelves hung, a side table, a floor lamp and a throw to cozy things up!

Chair for Den

As many of you know, I've been on the lookout for a chair and ottoman for my den for...well forever! I want something just right and I think this may be a contender! It's from Kirkland's, which is 50+ miles away and it can only be ordered and sent to the store. I'm looking for something similar closer by, like this at Pier 1. It doesn't have a matching ottoman though. I'm thinking wicker/woven because I don't have that texture in the room yet. Any thoughts?

On the hunt...

...for a chair for my den. I want to have a place to sit and read, watch tv and correct papers. I am torn between the style I'd like for the room. This chair has been on my radar for months now....

...well this isn't the exact chair. This is the new version of the chair. It's actually much lighter in color with a paisley imprint in the fabric and the legs are a bit chunkier, but you get the idea. The price is reasonable, too. It appeals to my traditional style. The den is traditional too.

I am considering this style chair as well, with an ottoman and NOT in this awful plaid. It was comfy and cozy when I sat in it today (and dd and I both fit!).

Then, there is the EKTORP chair from IKEA. I love te way it looks, especially with the ottoman, but IKEA is about 2 1/2 hours away. I could just have it shipped, but I am worried that it won't be comfortable. I would also purchase the ottoman and get it in a color.
