Beef Patties and Gravy

Instead of having meatloaf for dinner tonight, I made Beef Patties and Gravy. They were delicious and everyone loved them. I searched Taste of Home, Recipezaar and Allrecipes for ideas and came up with my own recipe.

1 lb. of Ground Beef
3/4 cup breadcrumbs ( I used Italian Style)
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 dash of garlic powder
1 egg beaten in 2 TBSP of water
1 large jar of beef gravy (I used Heinz.)
1 8 ounce can of mushrooms

Combine all ingredients except mushrooms and gravy. Shape mixture into 6 patties and place in the bottom of a 13x9 pan spread with 1/2 the jar of gravy. Top patties with drained mushrooms and pour remaining gravy over the patties and mushrooms. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Enjoy!


I served this with Oven Potatoes and Green Beans.
