Show and Tell Friday, February 27, 2009

This week, I'm going to show more of the china that was passed down to me from our aunt and uncle. Last week I shared the tea pot, sugar, creamer and tea cup. This week I'm sharing three more pieces. The pattern is Rosemont by Thomas Ivory. They were manufactured in Germany in the early 1900s.
I love the shape of the dishes and the marks in the gold on the plates. The marks show that they were well used and well loved to last all these years.

  6. I remember these dishes when I was little. They must of been part of my Grandmothers set. We only had a few pieces but the were beautiful.

You are very lucky to have a set of these dishes.

  10. Beautiful dishes! I also have some similar in pattern - came from my mom. My mother-in-law's were more oriental looking. I prefer the soft roses - so pretty and delicate. Thanks for sharing :O).

There is always room in The Shadow of the Cross. Feel free to drop in anytime :O).
